With this piece I wanted to see what relevant ideas symmetrical geometry could conjure up. I found the face early on in the experiment, and decided to pursue it from there. I saw samurai style elements, intricate Chinese ornamental aesthetics also. The upward moving shapes represent a prestigious head-dress, with the body terminating at the groin, inferring the idea that this was a warrior killed in action and no longer exists in our world. Hence, the title became Nether Samurai, a wandering lost hero.
