Ratnasambhava is the yellow Buddha of the southern quarter. His name means "jewel born". His emblem is the ratna jewel, symbolising the Bodhicitta, the highest value of the Buddhist. His mudra is dana or generosity, the most fundamental Buddhist virtue. He represents, therefore, both the highest values and virtues of Buddhism. Painted by
