A short animation for Qari Qris' new 'Forever' jewelry collection, an ode to parenthood and the eternal bond between a mother and child.
Nastya, the creative force behind the brand, got in touch with me in the middle of December. She envisioned a simple stop-motion animation inspired by the charm of children's puppet productions. When she showed me the new collection with small hand and bird pendants, it sparked thoughts of the universal childhood dream of flying.
In many ways, this animation was inspired by the shapes and colors found in the works of Paula Modersohn-Becker. I love her art, particularly her paintings of mothers with children, for their simplicity and beauty.
