Author's cabaret by a Ukrainian director who guides the audience through the basic rules of how to appropriate the soul of other nations. Ukraine in its current form has existed for only thirty-one years. The same actually applies to the Czech Republic. In order to be robbed not only of property, but also of our country and culture, it is enough to give in to our own fear and stop defending the most valuable thing. Values that cannot be obtained by fraud. do you have neighbors And do you have neighbors who have something you don't? Does it bother you that you want to have it too? We have an easy solution for you: steal it from them! You can steal not only a bicycle, a refrigerator, a television, but also a poem or a piece of history. But to be good at stealing, you have to learn to lie...
This play is rather experimental. She is among those phenomena of culture that appear under the influence of "black swans". And in this case, the Russian full-scale invasion provoked a sharp outflow of people from Ukraine around the world.
That's how a series of productions created in the community of Ukrainian and Czech theater workers was born.
The play “How to Steal” is one of these phenomena that foreshadows the emergence of new trends.
So, even though it was in the theater’s repertoire for only one season, it has both cultural significance and is an important stage of support for the adaptation of Ukrainian theater workers to the realities of European theaters.
