Meanings The dichotomy between land mass and abstraction is represented in this painting, creating a 3 dimensional view of heaving silver waves surrounding volcanic islands. But viewed from above it creates an abstraction of beauty that challenges the eye and the perspective. Materials This painting uses clay overlaid with metallic acrylics. The water and waves are created using layers of metallic wax which is heated to create wave peaks. History The piece took me about 12 days to create, 4 alone to lay the wax and create the right effect with it. My love of land form art and the shapes found in nature make the piece come to life for me. This piece is available for purchase. Please contact the artist at gcsartno@aol.com Read Less
