Christmas card - stay involved

I'm really disturbed by the wars that have broken out recently, and also by the ease with which these conflicts are forgotten: when the war broke out in Ukraine we forgot about Iranian women; when the war broke out in Gaza we forgot about the war in Ukraine. But all these conflicts are still alive.
This year, along with other artists, I was asked to design a “Christmas card” and I couldn't help but think about who will spend this special day in such a different way than me.
We who will spend the holidays with our loved ones in the safety of our homes should consider ourselves lucky, but don't let this luck make us forget what is happening a few countries over.
The other day I had a word with a lady who was preparing to go to Kiev to visit her daughter. Two days by bus were waiting for her, because the planes do not pass over the country: too dangerous because of the bombing, which continues uninterruptedly to fall on Ukrainian cities. The grandson, only a few years old, does not remember his grandmother's face: the Internet and phone line are often tampered with due to the conflict, and video calls are difficult to make. Air raid warnings are commonplace.
At first glance this might seem like any Christmas card, but by looking carefully you will discover that above this nativity scene a comet is not passing, but a bomb with its load of death.
Human beings can be better than this.
