This place is well known in the area with the name of "Faces valley", but still many locals call it "Monsters Valley". It's not clear whether the nature realized it indipendently or if some ancient divinity showed his ability. It's forbidden for strangers to visit the valley, now part of National Empathy Park, and even few citizens of the country are allowed to visit it.
To reach this location, I changed three guides, and only the last one, the eldest, is still alive. The other two were apparently arrested but probably killed, having indulged too much in the visual exploration. I only had time to capture a couple of pictures, then the old vehicle was restarted and we returned to our base. The distance from the hotel were I stayed (in the capital) is about 50 km (31 miles). Afterward, I was kindly asked to show the pictures and then swiftly transported to the consulate. We have no embassy there. I'm not allowed to disclose the name of the place or the country. It was a frantic yet emotional experience, and I loved it.

This is a hand made illustration.
It will be present in my next book (in preparation).
The title of the book is: "Atlas of unlikely places".
