THE BOY & THE HERON

Mood piece inspired by Hayao Miyazaki's 'The Boy and the Heron'.

There are movies that not only feel like an extension of its creator, but the artistic expression and values that it tries to convey are almost tangible. The places, characters, atmosphere are all the main focus. It doesn't need structure. It just is.
If I would need to describe the sentiment I had leaving the cinema, it would be the following: It's alright to struggle, to try to find your piece of mind and to move on the best way you can. The most human thing is to to experience loss and then take that dark hole of confusion and create something worthwhile with it. To live for for others. Harmony and purpose.
