Illustrations for the mobile game Dodo Kazakhstan
This is not the first year we have been commissioned to create illustrations for mobile game by the largest pizza chain, Dodo. This time we worked on a game for Dodo Kazakhstan. The game is available in Russian and Kazakh directly from their app.
The main character of the game is Baursak, a traditional treat in Kazakhstan. Last year, when we were working on the Dodo's game, the hero of the New Year's adventures was the Tangerine.
To make our character stand out, it was important to make the image recognisable, the emotional component and the technical requirements were set by the game developers. This is how we created such a charismatic Baursak.
We kept the style and some of the content of the backgrounds for the game, but replaced the New Year elements with simple winter ones. Since then, the game has been available all year round, not just during the holidays.
In addition to a number of graphic elements, our team also designed screens to showcase the game, as well as banners in the app and game screens.
Designing characters, backgrounds and graphics for games is a fun challenge. We particularly enjoy working with the Dodo team. They always leave room for creativity and come up with interesting challenges.
