Shutter Speed in Photography

For this project, the goal was to showcase different styles of shutter speed in camera.  The two submissions I have below showcase a slow shutter speed.  

A 4th of July sparkler showcases a slow shutter speed by leaving light trails after dark.

The photo below of Niagara Falls also demonstrates shutter speed.  You can see slight detail in the water as it falls into the river below.
