Joseph Uecker, a Fort Myers native and first-generation college graduate, recently received an English degree from Florida International University, after building a finance background through volunteer work and internships in the southwest Florida area. Joseph’s family was one of many victims of Hurricane Ian, the devastating storm that struck Fort Myers Beach in September 2022.
