Indian Mythology (Character Exploration/Design)

"SHIVA" means the auspicious one.
It is humanly impossible to explain Shiva, just as it is impossible to explain the universe.

The Yujur Veda says:
"NA TASYA PRATIMA ASTI"
meaning
"THERE IS NO IMAGE OF HIM"
Thus, it is important to understand that he is "Formless".
SIVA- "Male"
SHIVA- "FEMALE"
SHIVAM- "NEUTRAL"

Blue body of Shiva: Whenever I ask someone as to why Shiva is painted blue? The answer that I get is that "he drank the poison/halahal of the ocean and so his body turned blue". Well that is not true at all even from the mythological point of view because the halahal stopped in the kantha and he thus was called"Neelkantha".
Then why is the body painted blue???
Well!!! the philosophical reason is that blue is the last colour that our eyes can see. This is the only reason why the sky appears to us as blue when molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun. Since the sky is nothing but space and space is limitless, birth-less, deathless, boundless, directionless. Hence, Shiva is depicted as blue as he is the last that our aatma knows. He is just like the Sky/space which is limitless, birth-less, deathless, boundless, directionless.
Durga: the most powerful goddess i.e. Shakti, she has the power of creation, sustenance, and destruction and is eternal.🪻
Saraswati: a supreme goddess and is the form of Adi Parashakti i.e. the supreme divine female energy. 🌸✨
