Cuesta College 2023 Theater Production, Flora and Ulysses. The play was strongly comic book themed, and for its background used a giant, open-book shaped wooden wall that comic styled illustrations were projected onto. The backgrounds I created were for a scene in which the main character, Flora, describes to her pet squirrel the origin story of her favorite superhero, the Amazing Incandesto.

As Flora tells the story, janitor Alfred T. Slipper (played by myself) walks onto set mopping the floor, and slips backwards into a giant vat of chemicals, emerging in a golden spandex and disco ball helmet as the Amazing Incandesto. His pet parakeet, Dolores, watches as the story unfolds, cycling through the following series of reactions.
