ART 230 I Project 4: Gift Booklet
Gift Booklet: Front and Back Covers
For this project, I was tasked with designing a gift booklet for a loved one. I chose a General Conference Talk from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This talk was given in October 2023 by Elder Gerrit W. Gong, titled "Love Is Spoken Here." The objective of this project is to create a booklet using typographical hierarchy in order to help the reader understand the main message of the talk.
By using a grid system consistently through out the booklet, I was able to make the text more easy to follow. Using the grid system I was able to organize the three main points of the talk and allow for enough negative space. Adding negative space helps the reader to not get overwhelmed or lost in the test. I also used typographical hierarchy through the use of my larger pull quotes and key words. This helps the reader to be able to skim thorough the booklet and figure out what the talk is about.
This booklet was designed to capture the readers attention through visual hierarchy and the use of typography.
