This project was centered around disassembling an object and laying out the remaining parts.
For this project I took apart an old Easter basket. Unfortunately, it was much more brittle than I expected and several pieces broke and splintered apart. With what I could salvage I put together this piece. I wanted to make an interesting balanced shape with the handle and main rim as the center for it. From there I added woven parts together equally on each side. I made sure pieces that were locked were next to one another. It was definitely hard to keep them still on the cloth I was using, but I hope the overall design is visually pleasing to the viewer as it is to me.
