Food Forest is a design solution to a Royal Society of Art's competition brief called 'Made Natural'. It requires a nature based solution using trees to improve an environmental issue whilst also involving a community and thinking of long term sustainability. Food Forest is a roadside orchard network for urban areas, specifically low income-deprivation areas. Lead by the local community, volunteers would pick, pack and deliver regular boxes of fruit to local households to help cut food costs and promote organic healthy eating. Workshops and recipes would be available to get people involved and bring them together.
