PSA Posters - Graphic Design
Brief: For this Graphic Design project, we were assigned to compose a set of three posters. Each poster has to be unique but have common elements that will unite them together. The theme is to cover a certain problem, tendency, or issue we see within our societies. What I selected is the topic of school bullying. Unfortunately, it is something very common nationwide and worldwide.
Process:
After doing some research about school bullying, I began the creative process. I always start with brainstorming, after which I sketch different ideas on paper.
Before making digital compositions, I searched for good color schemes to work with. I selected multiple to choose appropriate colors.
The next step was to create some digital sketches. These are the rough drafts that I composed in Adobe Illustrator.
I selected a few rough drafts and made 3 variations of each of them. I also decided to experiment with color schemes to see what would work best. In the end, I went back to the yellow background because it causes better contrast.
After making refinements, these were my final images:
These are the posters placed into the mockups using Photoshop:
Conclusion: This project was a good, helpful experience. I learned the importance of a good color scheme, layout, hierarchy, etc. I enjoyed researching about the project, after which portraying that information into the posters.
