Dengo Posters

Located in the Atlantic Forest of southern Bahia, Fazenda Dengo is focused on the production of organic cocoa. The fruits are harvested in productive agroforestry systems, where cultivation takes place inside the forest with other specimens of flora and fauna. The farm is also committed to educational initiatives and welcomes groups of students and those interested in sustainable cocoa cultivation.
Our work consisted of producing 9 illustrated posters about the chocolate production process: from seed to bar, including a map about the presence of this delicacy around the world. The posters are used as teaching support material during visits to the Farm.
The project's starting point was old almanacs and descriptive maps of Brazil and the world, as well as educational encyclopedias, which also became visual references for illustrations and layouts. In contrast to this aesthetic of old prints, we used a younger and more saturated color palette, thus connecting with Dengo's own tropical brandbook.
