I created this piece as a part of my AP Studio Art Sustained Investigation. My topic was exploring Greek Mythology in modern circumstances. This piece highlights Ares, the god of war. I alluded to him with his iconic helmet as well as a nuclear mushroom cloud in the background to comment on the nuclear warfare of our world today. I had a fun time playing with color and the allusion to light in drawing. This piece was created in Procreate.
