Assembly instructions for wedge-locking washers
Nord-Lock wedge-locking washers utilise tension instead of friction in order to secure bolted joints exposed to severe vibration and dynamic loads.
In 2020 Nord-Lock decided to remake their installation instructions to better serve new markets, such as APAC.
Issues with installation included not using the correct amount of washers, combining wedge-locking washers with plain versions, or using only one washer instead of a pair.
The instructions had to be short and as much visual as possible, since it would be used by customers all across the globe.
The process included talking with engineers to assure that all steps were depicted correctly and with users, to assure that the steps were clear enough.
The instructions had contemplate all four different types of assemblies
All components were modeled, textured and animated in Blender with the remaining animations done in Adobe After Effects.
