This open and light Monterey coast home orients toward the Pacific Ocean. A lofted master bedroom and interior living areas with sliding and folding doors opening to the beach create an indoor-outdoor living environment. An exterior shell of copper panels slides over the open plan, focusing views outward while allowing cool breezes in. Although nearly 60 percent glazing, the home maintains a sense of privacy created by exterior screens, gardens and operable shades and scrims.
