Colorful Connections: Visualizing Community

Colorful Connections is an attempt at designing an intervention to create belonging/relevance/radical hospitality within a community of our choosing.
This project aims to activate and leverage our statements of personal practice to bring about a meaningful transformation within a community.

Using the tool of visualization, we brainstormed on how to define visualization to determine how to use it in the community intervention.
We came up with the research question after defining our audience and what we wanted to focus on when creating this intervention. The main focus was decided upon to be on our cohorts and to focus on visualizing a connection with and between others people.
Inspiration and brainstorming prompts
1st iteration of thank you digital cards
2nd iteration
This was our first intervention located at the Art Building on Miami University's campus. Originally, this was gonna be the only location, but while talking to others, they encouraged us to pivot and go outside to different locations. From this, we resulted in expanding to holding one at the Farmer School of Business, a jewelry-making class, and a print-making class.
