Traditional sushi brandings are either focused on the traditional Japanese approach or a kawaii look and feel. I wanted to do something different, something modern and unusual. The name Ginger immediately made me think of a cat. A gluttonous cat who dreams of eating your sushi rolls... But, luckily can't reach them.

So, I imagined a brand design around this mascot. I used orange for Ginger, as it's a punchy color associated with optimism and energy. I added deep purple to create high contrast and add a touch of creativity and extravagance.

My goal was to attract a younger customer base by breaking the 'luxury and zen' image of sushi. Plus, I wanted something memorable and catchy.
