Buddha on Lotus - Making Of

I wanted to portray the process I use, in order to make the Lai Thai illustrations that you probably have seen around my portfolio. The process is long and very complez but it is certainly good fun.

The Lai are patterns in the shape of flowers, vines, leaves, real or imaginary employed in decorations for Wats (temples) The Kranok are arabesques of interlaced leaves and branches. Yantra are 'magical' amulets and protections employed mostly in tattoos for personal gain.

What I illustrate are my artistic renditions to this great intricate and complex art which for the last five years I have been living in Thailand. Thus have been learning from ancient masters - Sukhothai - the traditional art of Lai Thai, Lai Kranok & Sak Yant (Yantra).

I would like to stress that all the patterns are my original work and are renditions to the Lai Art.
