Kindergarten Project

Kindergarten Project for 140 Children
The design is inspired by the ancient Georgian architectural element known as the "hall roofing". Although this interpretation is rooted in tradition, it departs from the traditional approach.
The direction of the each beam determines the shape of the building, some of them intersects the paths in the courtyard and garden. These beams serve as signposts, making it easier to navigate between sections. Each of them leads us to the central point of the structure, where we see the roof inside.
Entirely wooden construction, utilizing bamboo wood for its color coordination with the children's aesthetic and its ability to create a comforting atmosphere conducive to their delicate psyche.
The main hub of the building is the living space, which brings everything together. As you enter, you are greeted by the sound of children singing from the nearby music room. A few steps ahead you will find the central hall where the events will take place. Adjacent is a recreation area with nature views and a music hall, separated from the hall space by glazed glass, where parents can watch their children's activities or rehearsals.
The hall building of a peasant house, a captivating facet of Georgian folk construction art, stands out as a compelling aspect of the Georgian people's architectural ingenuity. This historical form of housing, known as 'hall' or 'crown housing,' traces its roots to ancient times. The project prominently features its defining element: the distinctive overhead structure, showcasing the essence of this traditional architectural style.
