The Lodge Bar and Grill

The Lodge Bar and Grill
Being tasked with the entirety of this brand was a lot of fun. Ranging from branding, interior design,
web, and even painting. I'm going to refrain from gushing and get down to some of the work
that went into one of Buffalo's coolest restaurants.

The Vinyl
One of the initial projects were a series of vinyl wraps that hid all of the rennovation work. Since there were so many open spots, we though it'd be a good idea to cover the facade in graphics. I had a lot of fun designing something this large.
The Business Cards
Running with the blue on the vinyl graphics, we pushed it in to our business cards. Playing with the logo for a bit to incorporate the colors was a last minute decsion that i wish was used more often.
The Menus
With about 2 months before opening I was finally given the menu to work on. With time against us and the interior designer bringing in the tables and chairs, it became apparent that the blue and white monochromatic concept was being scrapped. Instead, I was working with an interior that was shaping up to look more like a rustic ski lodge. Ditching the previous white menus, we went with a color that complimented the interior better.
The Painting
This was probably the most stressful part of the project as this project came to me about a month before opening. The owner tasked me with creating a painting that would cover a large portion of a wall. Having only worked in smaller dimensions, a 6' x8' painting was a horrifying prospect.

Playing off of the logo I created for the restaurant, I thought about the reintroduction of the antler bears would be a probable solution.  100+ hours and 2 sharpie pens later I had stippled my way to the finished product. In my haste I never really got a good picture of it before mounting it into the concrete wall.
Vinvyl Again
A week before opening I created some new window wraps that looked like etched glass. With every window now covered in branches I think they were ready to open.
Phew. What a busy project. Hahaha.
