The Unusual Lives of Four Hats

The Unusual Lives of Four Hats is about a family's uniqueness, love, and support through life. Often, it is easy to forget that we each have our roads to travel. This story was written for my children to remind them that no matter where life takes them, they will always be able to know that their family is their home here on earth.
Each character was based off one of the four hats I saw when I was up one night writing that had been left on one of the side tables. As I stared at the hats, the thought occurred to me that each hat sat there as a representation for my family. I had dabbled with writing children's stories for my children, but had not decided whether or not to actually write them out.
But, the longer I stared at those hats, the more the idea grew that I wanted to write the story for my children. It was a way to capture the beauty of these moments in their childhood that someday I pray, they will be able to share with their children in the future. So, I began writing...
The ideas flew onto the page. Ask any writer, and they will tell you the best things to write about are the things they love. My love for my family was undoubtedly I see the love and joy in my family, even between the struggles of watching them grow, teaching, and trying to raise them to become the men poured into these pages. How I see the love and joy in my family, even between the struggles of watching them grow, teaching, and trying to raise them to become the men that God intends them to be. Stories are a way to convey, especially to children, the values that we share within our families, friends, and communities.
Though life will have challenges and unpredictable things happen to everyone, this story was inspired to encourage children to keep pushing through. There will be dragons, mazes, and in seemingly impossible challenges to overcome—nevertheless, press on.
Overall, this story is about family and the love we share. Though we may grow weary by life's seemingly never ending pressures and demands; at the end of the day, a loving family will always be there.
