Mumbai has my heart! An island city, Mumbai is home to world's second largest collection of Art Deco buildings (after Miami)Its  a bustling potpourri of typography and signages. I had created  a hand lettering few years ago(seen below) but now since I have refined my animation skills wanted to create an unique animation for the same. It took me a lot of hours no doubt but I am happy with the end result!

The architecture of Mumbai blends Gothic, Victorian, Indo Saracenic, Art Deco and contemporary styles. I wanted to highlight this architecture first with the modern as the backdrop namely the Gateway of India, Rajabai Tower, CST terminus, Asiatic library and Taj Colaba, 

The financial capital of India, it has become a concrete jungle over the years, I wanted to show this in animation of buildings rising one row after another with the Arabian Sea in foreground

i continued with limited colour palette for the buildings and name of city in foreground, seamlessly animating with buildings rising and I couldn't help a cricket reference. India as , a nation we are obsessed with cricket especially Mumbai city has a international cricket stadium, some of the cricket greats such as Sachin Tendulkar are from this city. You will always find children and grownups playing cricket having their own local teams.
