Since its founding in 1926 by Pierre Draps in Brussels, Godiva Chocolates has been synonymous with excellence in the confectionery world. Inspired by the legend of Lady Godiva, the Draps family infused the company with values of boldness, generosity, and a pioneering spirit, which continue to guide the company's ethos.
Our concept is based on the idea that chocolate is often associated with good memories, sweet moments, rewards, and leisure. Food memories evoke a lot of nostalgia because there is the entire context of the place where it is prepared or consumed, turning food into something symbolic.
Many of our childhood memories are not just about the chocolate snack with oil during snack time, for example, but the complete experience of being part of a family or being lovingly cared for, adding an additional layer of meaning to the sensory quality.
