South Africa has one of the highest youth unemployment rates in the world, a staggering 64 %. With the rest of Africa not far behind. And with so few jobs available, and so many educational challenges, job seekers need all they help they can get to capitalise on opportunities when they come along. So what could we do to make a difference? Our ReadyToWork programme was already giving people tools to bridge the gap between formal education and finding employment, and we saw the opportunity to add a new tool that helped job seekers overcome the final and sometimes toughest hurdle to employment, the job interview.  The youth spend a lot of their time on social media, so we decided to turn one of their social channels into a powerful employment tool. We created the IntARview, an interactive AR lens that used Snapchat to its full immersive capabilities by simulating the job interview environment, complete with an interviewer who gave users the hands-on practice, advice and guidance they needed. Candidates chose to master verbal, non-verbal and online interview skills. After answering a series of questions, they were marked, served the correct answers if incorrect, and advised on how they could answer correctly next time.
