Sony Turbo Xmas Campaign

Objective:
Rather than giving the audience, snowflakes, Santa, and family reunions we decided on two things. Fire and Ice. We aimed to offer an alternative to the warm fuzzy feeling of Christmas that so often saturates the market.

Strategy:
Turbo wouldn’t be Christmas free but rather Christmas “guff” free. Staying true to our strong and simple tagline “Entertainment with Attitude” we felt that rather than introducing an ident here and there; we would commit to a complete graphics change. The challenge was finding a collaborator who would buy into the idea and willing to undertake the task of creating all of these elements in short period of time (two weeks). Eventually we did and what we created was a bold, masculine and respectful campaign for the audience without straying too far from our regular selves. The project was an intense collaboration between the graphics, the audio teams and myself that stretched our small facility to the limits.
