Project 2- Strip mall and Office building
Level- Sophomore year
Location- Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
This project was introduced to us in ur third year of architecture studies. We were given a plot in the city of Riyadh near one the busiest highway roads. The challenge was to connect the mall with the rest of the context in a way that would serve the community all together while also keeping the sustainabilty as a priority.

Each one of us might live very different lives but, we all have something in common-
A need to connect
Concept
No matter how far humanity reaches, there would
always be a sense of connectivity within us, that makes us interact with others and build societies. My aim for this project was to propose something that strengthens the social interactivity and provide fulfillment to people with all different kinds of needs.

All the paths taken from different functions around lead up to a central space where people can gather under a shaded area and enjoy their evenings after a tiring day.

The basement also provided car parking for the users to reduce the traffic on the ground floor.
