If you are ever in such a situation, it's advisable to focus on techniques that prioritize your safety and allow you to escape rather than attempt to control or restrain the attacker. Techniques such as striking vulnerable areas (e.g., eyes, nose, throat), using joint locks, or employing escapes and evasion tactics may be more appropriate for self-defense situations.
