Kill Bill Movie Poster

Kill Bill Movie Poster. For this project, we had to choose a movie poster to re-design. This was for my Concept Illustration class. I chose the movie, “Kill Bill Part 1” and re-created it in a graphic, anime-like style. In this illustration, is two snakes wrapped around swords facing each other. One of the snakes is stabbed by a sword. At the top is “Kill Bill” in kanji, in red, with the full moon present. At the bottom is a large pair of blues with fire in them. In the background is blood splatter. Each of the elements hold a deeper meaning and symbolism, along with relating to the plot, of the movie.
The moon is from my "Alcuard in the Woods" illustration.
Digital. Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop. Winter, January 2023.
The original sketch.
The final sketch. I used the sketch of the snakes and swords in the final digital illustration.
The "Kill Bill" kanji sketch, used in the final digital illustration.
The sketch of the eye that is in the final digital illustration.
The blue watercolor texture I used for the blue, Cottonmouth snake.
The red watercolor texture I used for the red/orange, Black Mamba snake.
The blue/red/yellow watercolor texture I used for the gradient background.
The red paint brush blood splatter (from Photoshop) behind the Kill Bill kanji.
The red blood splatter used in the background. This splatter is from the brush tool in Photoshop, and then I transferred it to Illustrator, and image traced it.
The moon I used, originally from my "Alucard in the Woods" illustration. This illustration is also on my Behance.
