It's being a while since I did something photography related, so I did this to practice, I didn't want the staples to have even lighting, so I lit them to have this fall off, it's a 2 light setup, on from behind a DIY diffusion panel with a DIY gel in front of it to get the blue gradient background, due to the angle, the light gets darker on the reflection, creating this surface feel to it (it's a piece of mirror), the other light is on camera left, diffused by another DIY diffusion panel. and on camera right there is a white reflector (white foamboard) to bounce some light to fill a bit the shadows (I didn't want to fill a lot, but a bit just enough to not be complete black shadows).
