Established in 2001 by His Eminence the Venerable Lama Kalden Tulku Rinpoche, the Djampel Pawo Buddhist Center is a space for learning and practicing the Dharma. Led by the only Western Lama in the Ganden lineage enthroned in Tibet, the center strictly follows Tibetan Buddhist traditions, in contrast to most Western Buddhist centers.
The identity was based on the existing symbol of the Djampel Pawo’s Lion, which was re-illustrated and integrated into a new visual framework. The use of different crops of the illustration as resulting textures is inspired by traditional tangkhas and showcases the true visual richness of Buddhism, debunking clichés imposed by Western culture, such as excessive visual cleanliness and a lack of color mixing. Other elements are also inspired by Tibetan Buddhist culture, including the typography with calligraphic terminations and Tibetan postage stamps from the early last century.

Fundado em 2001 por Sua Eminência o Venerável Lama Kalden Tulku Rinpoche, o Centro Budista Djampel Pawo é um espaço para aprendizado e prática do Dharma. Sob a liderança do único Lama ocidental na linhagem de Ganden entronizado no Tibete, o centro segue estritamente as tradições do budismo tibetano, em contraste com a maioria dos centros budistas ocidentais.
A identidade foi baseada no símbolo existente do Leão Djampel Pawo, que foi reilustrado e integrado a um novo quadro visual. O uso de diferentes recortes da ilustração como texturas resultantes é inspirado em tangkhas tradicionais e destaca a verdadeira riqueza visual do budismo, desmistificando clichês impostos pela cultura ocidental, como a excessiva limpeza visual e a falta de mistura de cores. Outros elementos também são inspirados na cultura budista tibetana, incluindo a tipografia com terminações caligráficas e selos postais tibetanos do início do século passado.
