photography project on a social issue
For depicting social issues I personally chose "homelessness" It is a growing issue increasing at a rapid rate. I through my photographs am narrating a story of the people who built their houses from scratch after seeing them burnt down in front of their eyes. A fire that left them with nothing. Having no resources they laid the foundation of a new home with new and old dreams, wishes, and aspirations. The hope is not lost. The desire to restart is evident. The feeling of contentment is seen. But still, these people deserve better and to have their basic needs fulfilled is their right. We don't see them asking for our help but being human beings it is our responsibility to support them. With the help of these photographs, I wish to raise awareness about these people and their needs.
