The design of the Open Road Grill & Icehouse is inspired by the freedom and opportunity inextricably linked to the American spirit. The restaurant's interior features an original 1950's Coke sign, an American Flag composed of over 5,000 bottle caps and a 1993 Harley Davidson Fatboy that rests above the bar. The North Carolina cypress bar top and branded floor designs create a rustic aesthetic that is both contemporary and timeless. In spring 2014 I was approached to design a 35' carved glass partition that would compliment the interior design while providing a functional solution to dividing the bar and dining areas.
