Here is the trailer, film, and poster art for a short film I made called "Grocer". It was produced by myself & Christina Granados. I was also the Writer, Director, DP, Editor, VFX, Cam A Op, Sound Designer, and Sound Mixer. The trailer is not color graded.
I wanted to go for a Mucha look with vivid colors you'd find in a carniceria. Once I started on it, it transformed into the version at the bottom of this post. I went with brown to reflect some of the dialogue in the film. Christina talked me out of it and I went back with the original idea. The idea is to have the bright colors draw you into this sad and darker character.
