Hudoq, a masked dance ceremony representing prayers for agricultural fertility and pest protection, is performed by Dayak ethnic groups in East Borneo.

In my project, I visualized Steven G. Alpert’s 2020 writing from the Art of the Ancestor website, using photos from the site. The original hudoq masks showcased in this book are stored in museums worldwide, including America, the Netherlands, Scotland, and France.
