PKXD: Asset Validator Tool
I worked on this tool with a team of about 5 people.

A big part of the 3D assets we used in PKXD came from outsourcing companies. We created this tool to make sure the assets were delivered according to the specifications we defined for the project.

It was made using Unity as separate project, allowing it to be accessed by outsourcing companies without giving them access to the game project
In the tool, the artist was able to see the asset exactly as it was going to look in the game.

Some of the automatic validations added were:
- Poly count
- Pivot position
- Rotation and Scale
- Naming conventions (for both mesh and textures)
- Materials (one per mesh)
- Size (7m limit)

Some things needed to be validated by the artist using the tool
- Skinning (We added some common animations to test this)
- Colors
- Rotation (what is the actual front part of the object)
- Backfaces
The artist could also check how the material was going to look in both day and night
After then, the asset could be exported as a Unity package. It couldn't be exported in case there were still failing auto validations
