Lounge Chair 2011
The exploration into using available materials to create sculptural furniture began with a university project; the lounge chair. Developed using tensioned strips of stainless steel laminated to nylon via rivets to create an embryo like form. The construction and inherent characteristics of the materials allow the chair to adapt to your body and posture, providing comfort as well as a bold visual statement. Due to the fact each component can be batch produced from its sheet state the lounge chair is a design that is sculptural and unique, yet still affordable.
