Emad Abul Latif, Professor of Rhetoric and Discourse Analysis at Cairo University and Qatar University. He studied at Cairo University and Lancaster University in Britain. He was invited as a visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge in Britain and the University of Tokyo in Japan. He taught at Cairo University and the American University in Cairo.

Emad Abul Latif obtained a doctorate in Arabic rhetoric and literary criticism from the Department of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, under joint supervision with the Department of Linguistics at Lancaster University in England. His doctoral thesis won the Best Doctoral Thesis Award at Cairo University for the academic year 2008-2009, and its topic was “Political Rhetoric: An Analysis of Selected Political Speeches by the Late Egyptian President Mohamed Anwar Sadat (1970-1981).”

He has many important books and research published in scientific journals in Arabic and English, including:
