The brief of this project consisted of two parts- physically contracting a 3- dimensional letter and photographing it in an urban environment and incorporating the letter in a typography driven poster, driving inspiration and style from a contemporary designer.
The designer of my choice was Marien Bantjes, as she uses both structured and ornamented elements in her typographic compositions, I decided to play on the fluffy texture of the letter, repeating curvy elements with the colour of the A, while having the rest of the information relatively structured.
This project was definitely an interesting experience, I think drawing direct inspiration from existing styles can be a very valuable skill for a designer, as well as incorporation of physical objects as a part of your design.
