I organized and directed the motion capture shoot for cinematics for this product. The cinematics were a little different for this one as I had been pushing for a slightly more dramatic look to the presentation in Champions League and Euro products. I was given more freedom to use time compression/expansion techniques in order to 'punch-up' the drama and significance of a red card or a goal celebration. Gareth Eaves did the gameplay sequences in this particular peice and cinematics elsewhwere in the product.
The Software engineers out-performed themselves for the product and gave us the ability to render 22 players on one team so that we could make the final celebration appear more populated. They also gave us the tools to trigger fireworks, confetti, streamers and balloons the result of which was a huge carnival atmosphere which the fans loved!
Some of our other more subtle achievements were the variations in crowd motion, (Brazilians dancing, Dutch swaying etc), goal keeper reactions during penalty shoot outs and our largest selection yet of NIS. At one point I managed up to 14 animators in order to finish the product on time.
