Euro 2008
Euro 2008 was a break-through project in so much that we introduced interactive goal celebrations to the user. So having scored a goal the user could run their character around the field for up to 30 seconds performing a selection of goal celebrations from arm punches to cart wheels and back flips! I was responsible for setting up the motion capture shoot, directing the shoot and the actors as well as operating mocams in the capture volume. Back in the studio I put together the first prototypes of the feature for approval and later handed-off to Gareth Eaves for completion.

Faced with various budget cuts and staffing issues I had to figure out a way to deliver more content with quality on time. I discussed our process with Ryan Hietenan at the mocap studio and he was able to deliver our mocap in a more time efficient way which meant that we increased our productivity by over 400% in terms of cinematics. This meant the user would experience a wider variation of emotions and shots during NIS.
