The theme for StageWorks Fresno's 2014 Season was "Funny. Smart. Real." which highlighted the central themes of the three shows planned to be produced. [title of show] while being the more silly of the title titles best fits the bill under "Funny.", The Mountaintop considered "Smart." and so on.
Knowing that this would be the initial postcard sent to season subscribers, I decided to include minimal copy on the front and let the large images speak for themselves to gain intrigue.
[title of show] was a remounting of the the company's inaugural production in 2010. The original production featured this same image, but for the 2014 reincarnation it was decided to paste the new cast's heads over the original for quirky effect - in true [title of show] fashion.
For The Mountaintop, the director wanted a recreation of the original Broadway artwork. This required careful attention to detail in order to captrue the simple yet impactful style of the original production.
