Pixel cat mascot redesign

Old good mascot

Pix the Cat has long been an iconic symbol of the Pixel Art School. This image was loved by school employees, students and subscribers on social media.

As the School grew and developed, it decided to change the promotion concept and design, but at the same time not remove the image of a friendly assistant. My goal was to transform Pix into something new, but at the same time save his character that people love and respect so much.
A mascot redesign

I turned the old version of the mascot into something more modern and minimalistic. Also, new design is no longer anthropomorphic, it's ordinary cat. And now it is more of an "assistant" rather than a "mentor".

Thus, I have tried to show a more significant role of mentors and teachers in learning. The mascot continues to help students navigate through the material, remaining a symbol of the school, but it is no longer an abstract character teaching students :)
New design layouts

We also changed the global design vision of the Pixel branding. All graphic elements have become more minimalistic, with a limited color palette of pastel hues. This is what the new design and mascot looks like on social media:
And that's how it looks on new slides and tutorials:
New tutorial design has more space, smaller text and larger images. The information part has a white background. Also new navigation elements appeared in the form of slide numbering, arrows and pointers.
