The Copycat Magazine Ad assignment is all about problem solving. This assignment is about being able to match colors, fonts, typography, leading, kerning, logo placement, special effects, scale, proportion and many other features depending on the original ad you choose. We measured our ad with an E-Scale to determine font sizes and object sizes.
Photoshop Tools Used
-Open a file in Photoshop
-Identify the image size criteria
-Manipulate the canvas size
-Source images free of copyright restriction
-Add 25 images as raster images
-Organize and rename layers
-Create a footer with required text
-Use appropriate selection tools
-Scale images in proportion
-Rotate images
-Select specific pixels
-Apply “Inverse” selection
-Delete designated pixels
-Save in appropriate file format and using file naming structure
-Submit files to Canvas with a valid copyright statement
-Acquire images free of copyright restriction
-Save in the designated file format
