San Pellegrino X Dei Due Mondi Festival,
an Italian partnership
I imagined 3 packaging that blends the freshness of San Pellegrino with the tradition of an Italian event : the "Dei due Mondi" festival. For this limited edition, I designed three characters embodying the three major figures of the Commedia dell'Arte : Pentalone, Arlecchino and Pedrolino.
The Commedia dell'arte is a popular art that thrives on proximity with the audience, aiming to offer a profoundly lively performance.
Pantalone, Pedrolino and Arlecchino Sketches
Arlecchino is the most well-known character in the Commedia dell'Arte. He belongs to the Zanni family, the mischievous and cunning characters, servants, and jesters. A big child, he is the quintessential comedic character
Perdonino is the sad clown of the Commedia dell'Arte. He doesn't wear a mask, displays very childlike features, symbolizing his naivety. Like Arlecchino, he is a prominent Zanni. He is sadly in love with Colombina, who prefers Arlecchino over him
Pantalone, the character in the long red trousers, is a Venetian master. Similar to Harpagon in Molière's works, he is the archetype of avarice and vanity. He has only one friend in the Commedia dell'arte: the doctor.
